Why I Do This
Her name was Esther.
A tiny, spinning, yipping Yorkie who made every day brighter.
She’d race to the door when I came home.
She danced in circles when I reached for my walking shoes.
She followed me to the kitchen like a furry little shadow—especially when treats were involved.
She was with me for 18 years.
Every day.
And yet, somehow, I don’t have a single photograph that truly shows her joyful, smiling face.
Back then, I had a busy corporate job. My old camera only came out on holidays.
I’ve got a few blurry prints from the drugstore—but nothing that really captures her beautiful spirit.
I can’t go back and fix that.
But I can make sure no one else has to say the same.
That’s why I do this work. To create images and artwork that celebrate your dog’s spirit—right now, while they’re still by your side.
Something real. Something beautiful.
Something you’ll look at years from now and feel that same love all over again.

P.S. The beautiful girl in the photo with me? That’s my doggie niece, Sunny. She’s got some serious main-character energy too.

“My pup and I had a great time with High Paw Photography! Margeaux suggested a gorgeous location and perfect time of day to get amazing photos. She was great at leading us around the location to get a variety of shots and had no problem working with my exuberant (and deaf) dog. She also gave us lots of clear and simple directions to get the best poses. We found it helpful to have one person holding the leash (which gets edited out later!) I’m really happy with the end photos.

“Margeaux was very mindful of making it as stress-free and fun as possible for both us and our dogs. I have taken a ridiculous number of pictures of my dogs but having professional photographs shows a world of difference. Our dogs bring us such joy, so we love having these images forever.” – Melissa Carr
“I have done a couple of photo sessions with Margeaux and both were really fun and positive experiences for myself and more importantly, my dog. I ended up purchasing a canvas as well as an acrylic block as a birthday gift and both were amazing.” – Nina Houghton
