“I’m not smiling… well, I’m not opening my eye’s… what was that sound… don’t care still not smiling…” – Jaxon & Ricky

Jaxon, an adorable Pomchi, and his brother Ricky, a magnificent Chinese Crested, were my models for an evening session at Granville Island. All that cuteness packed into two tiny dogs? A pet photographer’s dream.

Jaxon posed like a very serious (and very small) statue, while Ricky did his best to ignore me completely. But with a little coaxing—and a lot of patience from their devoted mom Danielle and aunt—we got some truly fantastic shots.

Granville Island was the perfect playground for their distinct personalities, full of quirky backdrops and golden hour views. We wrapped up at the pier with a glowing sunset and a whole lot of doggie attitude.

I absolutely loved my evening with these two charming (and slightly dramatic) doggie models.
