‘Tails’ of May: The First Tails of Vancouver

It was exciting to finally be able to launch my first offical month of sessions for my ‘Tails of Vancouver’ project!

We kicked things off (just before everything changed) with Cooper, a handsome Staffy/Border Collie mix. Technically, his session was in March, but he earns honorary May status as my first model. We met at a quiet park in Kitsilano at 1st and Burrard, then strolled over to the angel wings mural. With his sweet expression and steady gaze, Cooper made a truly majestic angel.

Next up was Iggy, a beautiful White Shepherd mix, photographed during a golden evening at Charleson Park. She posed like a dream among a patch of cheerful buttercups, soaking up the light and giving us all the grace and calm vibes.

Then came Bonnet and Bella—two adorable mini poodle sisters with big personalities. We explored Granville Island together, where Bonnet showed off her fluff beside a blooming patch of daffodils, and Bella struck a pose on a bright red bench outside a coffee shop. They were the perfect pair of island adventurers.

Rounding out the month was Phoebe, a statuesque whippet mix who stood proudly at attention throughout our session at Creekside Park. She never once sat—but with her regal posture and the soft light under the Burrard Street Bridge, she didn’t need to.

And that wraps up the fabulous rescue stars of May (and one very special March)!
