Meet Tater the Frenchie – Stylish, Stubborn & Slightly Squishy

Tater is a Frenchie with a wide smile and a serious interest in snacks. She showed up camera-ready in a pretty pink leather collar with a bow.

After starting off with some  adorable puppy dog eye shots we headed to a beautiful bloom of pink astilbes. Tater covered every inch of the wide wooden bench, with an occasional brief pause.

From there we explored a few scenic spots, a rock in front of lush greenery, another in front of an interesting wooden red frame.

She held her pose just long enough to pretend she was following directions, until she remembered where the treat lady was and launched herself back toward me.

To save her energy (and to avoid any more frothy-face moments), Cecilia carried her little spud down the boardwalk.

Just as we got into our rhythm, a man strolled by with what must’ve been ten dogs in tow,  clearly some sort of obedience class.

Tater watched them with curiosity, but stayed mostly focused.

Over by the houseboats, she sat still on the long bench until she spotted me again and turned it into a runway sprint.

We finished the session with a few attempts at action shots she may not have run straight at the camera but she gave it her best and we got the shot.

It had started out cloudy, but just as we wrapped, the sun broke through like it was waiting for her final pose. A beautiful ending to a lovely session.

Tater’s parent took home a soon to be very sleepy little girl.

I’ll be shooting through fall this year – if you’ve been meaning to book, let’s chat.
