Tails of June & July: Sun, Smiles, and Rescue Stars

A Look Back at My June & July ‘Tails of Vancouver’ Sessions

This one’s a little late to the party (fashionably, of course), but I couldn’t skip sharing some of the wonderful rescue pups I photographed this past June and July for Tails of Vancouver.

TJ the ever-charming Bichon Frise kicked things off at City Hall. With room to zoom, flowerbeds to sniff, and benches to pose on, TJ made the most of it—and nailed a heroic City Hall shot worthy of a cape.

Luka, a speedy little Doxie-Pin with energy to spare, took on Granville Island like it was his runway. Between the boardwalk, the pond, and his jet-fueled zoomies, we got magic in motion.

Cheddar Cheese (yes, that’s her name, and yes, she’s perfection) is a happy-go-lucky pug who spent most of her session chasing my camera with a grin that could melt hearts.

Nelly, a regal Staffy-Shepherd mix, struck a stunning balance between strength and softness. We wandered Vanier Park and, naturally, she finished the session lounging in the flowers like the queen she is.

Oscar, a lively Aussie mix, also rocked his session at Vanier Park—posing like a pro in a field of yellow blooms that made his coat pop.

These incredible dogs were part of my Tails of Vancouver rescue project, and every single one of them brought joy, charm, and a little sparkle to my lens. Can’t wait to share more from the sessions still to come.
